This Albanian child development center serves children who are vulnerable by offering a holistic approach to alleviating poverty that also aids their growth and development. The center cares for children from marginalized families, single-parent homes, and families where the parents are unemployed or battling addiction to substances. Guided by this vision for holistic care, the center pairs spiritual nurture with practical aid. Staff share Bible stories to encourage children's spiritual formation, serve nutritious meals to promote children's physical health, and provide opportunities for children to build healthy relationships and improve social skills through sports and recreation. The educational support provided by the center - such as help with homework - has proven to have a positive impact on children's attendance in school. By caring for children's spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development, the center nurtures the whole child.
