This Peruvian child development center serves a poor community battling economic deprivation, few educational opportunities, food insecurity, unsafe housing, malnutrition and anemia. Children want to learn, and their parents want to help them, but resources are scarce and conditions difficult.
The center's teachers provide academic support and encouragement. Nutritious lunches twice a week promote better health and enhance learning. The children are now learning, and eager to share their new knowledge with others. The center's staff are trustworthy and caring, and lead lessons about morals and ethics, as well as the love of God. Children and their families are glad for the hope and blessing this center offers.
