This Ghanaian child development center serves children in a poor farming community. As a school registered with the government, the center provides an education for children whose families could not otherwise afford schooling. Children of all faiths benefit from the center's programs, which include class work, after-school homework help, clothing and school supplies, and the advantage of nutritious lunches to fuel bodies and minds. Health is also supported through sports activities and regular medical checkups. Games, storytelling, poetry, music and dancing inspire fun and build social skills. Life skills training and counseling help to develop happy, healthy children. Bible stories and simple Christian songs nurture spiritual formation.
